The land surrounding the house & out-buildings was prone to flooding, so new soakaways & gulley pots were installed.

The existing drainage problems were also alleviated by the resurfacing of the driveway & courtyard areas, being laid to correct falls.

Double rows of granite setts were laid as kerbing to the new surface. Nearly 600m2 of the existing gravel surface was planed off & disposed. Type 1 stone, binder, & surface course laid & compacted. The resulting finish adds significantly to the beauty of the farmhouse.
